چکیده
We present a case of an infant male born at 23 weeks' gestation with interrupted aortic arch (IAA) complex. treated the patient hypoxic gas ventilation to address developing systemic undercirculation in acute postnatal phase. As symptoms bronchopulmonary dysplasia evolved, was no longer required stabilize hemodynamics. The discharged home after undergoing palliative surgical procedure bilateral pulmonary artery banding and ductus arteriosus stent implantation. Although he suffered from hypertension, it controllable oxygen supplementation vasodilators. There are limited therapeutic options available for extremely preterm infants critical congenital heart defects (CHDs). Hypoxic might be considered as one options, its risks taken into account, manage CHDs overcirculation before performing interventions.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effectiveness of antenatal corticosteroid (ACS) to improve neonatal outcomes for infants born at <24 weeks of gestation. STUDY DESIGN We performed a retrospective analysis of 11,607 infants born at 22 to 33 weeks of gestation between 2003 and 2007 from the Neonatal Research Network of Japan. We evaluated the gestational age effects of ACS administered to mothers with...

متن کاملInterrupted Aortic Arch in an adult.
Interrupted aortic arch (IAA) is a rare congenital abnormality with only a few cases reported in adults. It is defined as complete loss of continuity between the ascending and descending portions of the aorta, and is usually associated with other cardiac defects. The diagnosis in adults should be suspected in the presence of refractory hypertension, a careful physical examination being crucial ...
متن کاملInterrupted aortic arch in an asymptomatic adult.
Isolated interrupted aortic arch is a rare congenital cardiac disorder believed at one time to be incompatible with life once the ductus arteriosus closed. To our knowledge, only 12 cases have been reported in the literature and mostly in children. The diagnosis was made in all of them by catheterization. We report the first adult patient with an asymptomatic interrupted aortic arch diagnosed b...

Most reported cases of aortopulmonary fenestration are discrete openings between the main pulmonary artery and the aorta, distal to the outflow valves, and thus are amenable to surgical correction using cardiopulmonary bypass (Bosher and McCue, I962; Deverall et al., I969; Gross, I952; Gasul, Fell, and Casas, I951; Hurwitz, Ruttenberg, and Fonkalsrud, I967; Kalter et al., 1970; Meisner et al., ...
